NovaFLIM Licenses

For NovaFLIM, we use a software license instead of a hardware dongle to make license management more efficient. Compared to a hardware dongle, this approach eliminates the time and costs associated with handling and shipping dongles, as well as the risk of losing or removing them.

License Binding & Duration

NovaFLIM licenses are tied to a specific workstation and are available in different durations (1, 2, or 4 years). This approach was intentionally chosen to keep individual license costs low.

License Transfers

While licenses can be transferred from one PC to another, this process takes time and is not recommended for frequent use. It is primarily intended for cases like switching to a new PC.

Long-Term License

For the medium and long term, we recommend having one long-term license for the PC connected to the microscope and an additional shorter-term license for individual workstations.
