Pulsed Interleaved Excitation (PIE)
PIE stands for Pulsed Interleaved Excitation: a technique of synchronising several pulsed lasers (or other suitable excitation sources). The laser pulses are separated on a ns time scale to allow simultaneous recording of the time response of a sample molecule due to each individual laser.
